This Bengal Muslin Saree having the work of Jamdani comes with 2 ply muslin. The Jamdani is a fine type of woven muslin fabric. The name Jamdani is of Persian origin and comes from the word Jam meaning flower and Dani meaning vase, descriptive of flower motifs. The weaving of this work on the saree is time consuming and labour intensive because of the richness of its motif which are created directly on the hand loom.
