What is project VERA?
Project VERA is Cavirk’s trust and authenticity program designed to verify every seller and artisan on our platform.
It ensures that every product sold on Cavirk is genuinely handcrafted and created by verified artisans, boutique owners, or small manufacturers who uphold the values of craftsmanship and integrity.
When you see the “Cavirk Verified” badge, you can be confident that the product has been sourced from a trusted, authenticated seller — verified personally by our team.
How the Verification Works
Our verification process is simple, transparent, and human-led
Seller Identification:
Each seller is first shortlisted by our Seller Acquisition Team based on their craft, category, and quality of work.
Identity Verification:
Every artisan or seller completes a short video verification where a Cavirk representative (COO or Seller Head) confirms their identity using a valid government photo ID (such as
Aadhaar, PAN, or Passport).
⚠️ We do not store or retain any ID information to ensure privacy and data protection.
Craft Validation
Our Product Team reviews the seller’s work — photos, videos, or sample items — to confirm that each product is handmade, original, and authentic to the craft it represents.
Approval & Badge
Once verified, the seller receives the “Cavirk Verified” badge, displayed on their product pages and seller profile.
This badge signifies that the seller’s identity and craftsmanship have been verified by Cavirk.
